Should the NY Knicks start Reggie Bullock at the Small Forward next year?

Reggie Bullock is through two seasons as a Knick and is currently an unrestricted free agent.

After an injury-riddled 2019-2020, Reggie found himself as a consistent starter and very reliable 3 and D player.

The pros to a Bullock return are that you’re going to get consistent play from a player that clearly works in Tom Thibodeau’s system.

He’s a 41% shooter from behind the arc and can guard players with a wide variety of skill sets.

The only issue I have is his ceiling as a player has already been reached. He’s not a ball-handler and would have to rely on others to create shots for him.

The Knicks are in need of a floor general type player and Reggie doesn’t really provide that.

Obtaining a ball-handler is essential for a team like the Knicks, especially since they’re trying to become contenders in the next year or two.

While Bullock’s contributions last year were very impactful and impressive, it might be easy for the Knicks to try and find a new starting small forward.

However, I think a bench role for the 30-year-old out of UNC would be a phenomenal fit.
