Man, oh man…was last night fun for the NY Knicks or what?

I want to start this one off by saying that every single mock you’ve seen was wrong by a mile.

Those guys that spent the last year preparing for this moment were completely wrong as early on as the 4th pick and onward.

Just goes to show how little any of the so-called ‘experts’ truly know about what’s going on inside these organizations.

They’re generally pretty hard to predict, but really, last night was just an exciting and special event that nobody saw coming.

The Knicks entered the draft with picks 19, 21, 32, and 58 and ended the night with picks 25, 34, 36, and 58 along with a few future picks.

The NY Knicks came away with 3 trades during the 2021 NBA Draft

Many would consider that to be a major ‘L’ on New York’s behalf, but I couldn’t disagree more.

All of these trades had two primary goals in mind; value and the future.

So many Knicks front offices have folded under the pressure of what running a team in New York is all about, but not this one.

Leon Rose has turned this team around in such an incredibly short amount of time.

The future is promising because for once, the guy running the show is doing things his way and not letting any outside noise get in the way of his vision.

There were 3 trades made yesterday evening, and while in my opinion, some were better than others, you could tell that there was a common theme and that’s all we could ever ask for as fans.

The Knicks get pushed around and strong-armed no more.

Here are my grades for each of the trades that were made yesterday evening during the Draft.
