The New York Knicks season has been over for about a month now, and the NBA Finals just wrapped up, but Team USA Basketball is just beginning. The American Men’s Team will suit up for their first official game in the Tokyo Olympics on Sunday, July 25th at 8 AM EDT.

While the U.S. won’t be as star-studded as they have been in years past, this roster is still incredibly talented and should be considered the overwhelming favorite once again to win the Gold Medal. Unfortunately, Julius Randle was not offered a spot on the team, but neither was Trae Young, so there is that to be excited about.

Perhaps the most exciting thing about this years Team USA roster is the number of players that can become future Knicks! Team USA’s history is filled with Knicks legends who showed out on the world stage like Carmelo Anthony, Patrick Ewing, Allan Houston, and others. Hopefully, that list can add a few names to it depending on how New York’s offseason goes.

Even if it doesn’t happen this summer, there are a couple of NBA players visiting Tokyo who would be great additions to the Knicks. This article will look at four of those ballers that New York can and should target in the near or distant future. Some of these players can be acquired via trade, others can be in free agency this offseason or next, and some can be nabbed in both ways. I’ll list the four players in order from best to worst (IMO).
