Here we are, boys and girls…the 2021 NBA Draft is upon us and our NY Knicks are ready to bring in a few guys that will hopefully one day be on the roster when the team wins a title in the near future.

If this new front office regime has proved anything so far, it’s that they have their eye on the prize and they’re willing to stay the course and only make moves when the time is right.

The Knicks of old probably would have traded both of their first-round picks for some washed-up has-beens by now that would only contribute more losing to the team.

A lot of the winning culture this front office has injected into the team has come by way of former players and coaches from Kentucky.

Leon Rose and Worldwide Wes have had tremendous connections with Kentucky players on their way into the NBA prior to taking their positions within the Knicks organization.

Could both Kentucky Basketball players find their way to the NY Knicks?

The team made Kenny Payne the highest-paid assistant coach in the league in order to pry him away from the Wildcats and Coach John Calipari’s staff.

And then there are the former Kentucky players on the team today in Julius Randle, Immanuel Quickley, Kevin Knox, and Nerlens Noel.

There were a few other names that the team brought in to compete for a roster spot before the season began, but none of them actually ended up playing a single minute in a Knicks uniform.

So perhaps come 8pm tonight, the front office continues and furthers the tradition of bringing in another few Kentucky boys.

It just so happens that there are 2 players who were WIldcats last year, who also could fill a need for the Knicks and are potentially in the range of one of the team’s first 3 picks.

So here are the two former Kentucky Basketball players that the Knicks could consider in the 2021 NBA Draft.
