Julius Randle is the clear go-to guy, but these power forwards would all be good reinforcements for the New York Knicks to draft in the second round.

Last season, New York Knicks’ star Julius Randle became one of, if not the best true power forward in the NBA. His regular-season accomplishments were nixed in the playoffs where Randle struggled to get going against the Atlanta Hawks. However, New York Knicks fans will be willing to forget, so Randle will once again go into next season as the main guy.

From an offseason standpoint, there’s no reason for the Knicks to go after a talented power forward in free agency or the first round of the draft. However, Randle’s backups of Obi Toppin and Taj Gibson weren’t so stellar, giving some need for another look at bringing in a power forward to come off the bench.

Toppin was just a rookie, so he could easily still grow into a better role player. Gibson is aging, so at the very least, another reinforcement could solve some depth issues at that position.
