NY Knicks fans know that the team needs players who can put the ball on the floor and create offense, and Boston Jr. could find himself getting playing time early on because he can do exactly that.
New York doesn’t have much depth on the wing. With Alec Burks’ likely departure and Obi Toppin’s positional limitations, there isn’t really anything there to play the small forward position on the bench.
He may still have to catch up physically and learn how to be more of a secondary option, but that’s fine. You have to earn your role on Tom Thibodeau’s Knicks and in a lot of the same ways we saw Obi Topping make strides in the weakest areas of his game, we could see Boston make those same developments in his game.
