#8 – Randle Dunks on Kleber: April 2nd, 2021 vs Dallas Mavericks

In a close game midway through the third quarter vs the Mavs, Julius Randle caught another body.

He helped double team Knicks’ potential trade target Jalen Brunson with Elfrid Payton at the top of the key. Randle poked the ball loose and started to race down the court as Payton retained the ball.

Payton tossed it to Randle who was trailed by Maxi Kleber. Randle, knowing Kleber was close behind, actually slowed down a little bit on his gather. Randle rose up, cocked back his left hand, and threw down a powerful dunk with Kleber right in his face.

Needless to say, Kleber was unsuccessful in chasing down Randle to stop him from scoring. The craziest part about it though is this wasn’t even the most exciting dunk in this game.

We will get to that…
