Would Moses Moody fit well with Julius Randle on the NY Knicks?

Moses Moody out of Arkansas is more than likely going to be a top-10 pick and if the Knicks were enamored by him, they’d have to fork over some picks and assets to get a shot at bringing him to The Mecca.

Standing at 6’6 with an incredible 7’1 wingspan, he may never be a superstar in this league but he’s got one of the highest floors in this year’s draft.

The 3-and-D Moody made the 2020-21 All-SEC team, All-Freshman team, and won the 2020-21 SEC Rookie of the Year award.

Finishing his season with nearly 17 points per game on 36% shooting from beyond the arc, he’ll be a force to be reckoned with at the net level from day 1.

Even though he’s just 19 years old, I could see him starting for the Knicks in the not-too-distant future at the 2 or 3 spot due to his advanced level of understanding of the game for his age.

He’s also a great rebounder for a wing, averaging nearly 6 per contest last year.

The Knicks need more guys like Moody that thrive off the ball on the perimeter that can come off screens and get themselves open looks.

He’s definitely got to work on his playmaking a bit but right out of the gate that wouldn’t be an immediate necessity.

He may not be the best shooter or best scorer coming out of this year’s draft class, but he would add a much-needed element to this Knicks roster that they desperately need for the next 10+ years.
