Continuing in the series of positional draft options for the New York Knicks, these small forwards would fit in well in Tom Thibodeau’s system.

With RJ Barrett as the popular choice for small forward of the future for the New York Knicks, it’s important for the Knicks front office to search for a solid backup in this year’s draft. While the New York Knicks will likely go elsewhere with their first-round selection, there is plenty of second-round talent at small forward that could serve as important backups to Barrett off the bench.

Currently, the New York Knicks have Alec Burks and Kevin Knox as the backups to Barrett. Burks had an improved year from his previous stop in Philadelphia and it wouldn’t be a bad thing for New York to keep him on the roster.

On the contrary, Knox’s days in a Knicks uniform might be numbered. And with Burks turning 30 next season, it looks like there might be an open spot at small forward. Teams can never go wrong going through the NBA Draft and New York will have options there.
