NY Knicks Blockbuster trade involving Bradley Beal and Russell Westbrook

The Wizards finally decide to pull the plug on their relationship with Bradley Beal and start their inevitable rebuild.

They do him a massive favor by sending him to an immediate contender. Inserting Beal with a healthy Klay Thompson and 2020-21 MVP runner-up, Steph Curry.

That trio is an absolute powerhouse and might be the best 3-point shooting team of all time.

Beal hasn’t played much off-ball, so bringing him to play next to two guys that excel off-ball would be sensational.

There would be no way to stop that offense…only slow it down sometimes, and the Warriors would become instant title favorites.

Now if Washington were to in fact move on from Beal, it would make little to no sense to keep Russell Westbrook on the roster.

As mentioned earlier, Russ is not a negative asset by any means, but if the Wizards let go of Beal on his own, it’s gonna be tough to move Russ due to his massive contract.

Keeping Russ around for a year or two is out of the question because he’s just not the type of guy that’s gonna stay quiet and live happily on a rebuilding team with a bunch of young players around him.

He’ll want out sooner or later and will demand a trade, and they could get stuck getting even less back than they did in this trade for Russ.

May as well off Russ to a team that can take on his contract easily, such as the Knicks.

In turn, Washington would be left with picks 14, 15, 19, and 21 in the first round and could easily find their way back into the top 10 and find a star to build around.

Rui Hachimura really broke out this year and Deni Avdija looks like he will come into his own soon.

They’ve got some nice building blocks now to field a young team that can win them some games.

The last order of business for them would be to dump Davis Bertans somewhere and they’d be set.
