The other day I was sitting around playing with the NBA Trade Machine and conjured up this wild 3-team blockbuster of a trade involving the NY Knicks, Warriors, and Wizards.

I decided to tweet out a screenshot of the trade, which you can find here.

The feelings were mixed, but the engagement was tremendous so I couldn’t pass up an opportunity to turn it into an article here!

Just as a heads up, I’ll actually be making some changes to the original trade as it was a little too heavy in the Knicks’ favor and I don’t think the WIzards would come close to saying yes if they were presented the offer I came up with.

Would you consider this trade for the NY Knicks?

In my defense, I was more so concerned about what the Knicks were giving up and what they were getting back.

But anywho, here’s the new trade concept:

Of course, as a Knicks fan, I’d much rather be on the side getting Bradley Beal but I want to try to be as realistic as possible.

The Knicks are still a ways away from serious contention and similarly to all the “Dame to NY” talk, it’s not just gonna take one superstar to come to New York that’ll get us over the hump.

It would take some combination of two superstars that the Knicks could bring on to play alongside Julius Randle.

Therefore, just trading for Bradley Beal wouldn’t make a stitch of sense unless the team had another star on their way to The Garden as well.

Anyway, I digress.

The trade sure is out there, and there’s a lot of moving parts here.

Here’s why I believe each of the teams involved makes the deal.
