2021 NBA Draft Mock 3.0: Golden State Warriors select James Bouknight

It’s scary to think about how potent this Warriors offense can be with a fully healthy Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins, and James Bouknight.

One of the best scorers in this draft, Bouknight is going to get to play alongside some of the best offensive talent in the NBA.

Bouknight may not address some of the Warriors’ biggest weaknesses, but his talent may just be too much to pass up. Should the Warriors have a fully healthy lineup, Bouknight can be a go-to scoring option on the team’s 2nd unit.

He’ll likely be predominantly a 2-guard in his NBA career but Golden State can get creative with some of their small-ball lineups. They can plot Curry, Thompson, Bouknight, and Wiggins around different perimeter spots with Draymond in the middle.

The Warriors will want to get right back into contending in the Western Conference and James Bouknight can certainly help them right away.

38. . F. Orlando Magic. Josh Giddey. 8. player

2021 NBA Draft Mock 3.0: The Orlando Magic select Josh Giddey

Easily one of the biggest risers throughout the draft process, Josh Giddey climbs all the way to #8 overall to the Orlando Magic.

After selecting Kuminga at 5, the Magic nab another wing with Josh Giddey just three spots later.

Again, this roster is really just open auditions. Orlando can go any direction they want in this draft. With Markelle Fultz, R.J. Hampton, and Cole Anthony in the backcourt, the team now has some options on the wings with Jonathan Isaac and now Kuminga and Giddey.

Giddey brings much a different profile than Kuminga.

The 18-year-old is one of the best passers in the draft and stands at 6’8. He has serious potential as a primary ball-handler and gives the Magic some diverse skillsets within their young roster.
