Would you want the New York Knicks to sign Hassan Whiteside?

What happened to Hassan Whiteside?

Once one of the league’s best stories, Whiteside seemingly lost the fire that burned inside of him.

Reports of bad work ethic surfaced – a reputation harder to shake than a catchy song ensued.

Now, Whiteside is faced with a choice – change his ways, or continue down a path that leads him straight out of the National Basketball Association.

Enter Tom Thibodeau.

If there’s anybody who can get Whiteside back to his shot-blocking self – it’s the Knicks’ head coach.

Along with entering a strong locker room, the Knicks’ structure could be everything Whiteside needs.

He’s gotten big contacts before but played last season on a deal for the league minimum.

He didn’t exactly earn himself a better contract with his play – having his worst statistical season since his breakout.

If Whiteside can be had on value, he can become a reclamation project worth taking a chance on.

Low risk, high reward – what’s there to lose?
