Should the New York Knicks sign Spencer Dinwiddie?

One of the pillars of the Brooklyn Nets’ path to the league’s elite, Spencer Dinwiddie was the constant for the Knicks’ cross-town rivals – before the day Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant signed.

If he doesn’t return to Brooklyn following his devastating knee injury, the Knicks should get him on the Subway. Bringing Dinwiddie to their franchise could help them strengthen their weakest position group.

No, he’s not Damian Lillard – but how quickly fans forget that Elfrid Payton was the Knicks’ starting point guard for most of last season.

Dinwiddie’s offensive prowess alone would greatly improve the team.

A player who averaged over 20 points per game as recently as the 2019-20 season, Dinwiddie would give Tom Thibodeau a player who can get a bucket when the team needs it.

Taking him away from a division rival would be an added bonus.

If the Knicks look to free agency to fix their point guard problem, Dinwiddie could be the best answer.
