NY Knicks – #4 – The Loooong Loooob: May 28th, 2021, NBA Playoffs Game 3 vs Atlanta Hawks

The New York Knicks season and their series against the Atlanta Hawks didn’t end the way we hoped, but the playoffs still gave us some great moments (spoiler alert: it gave us some of the best dunks from Obi Toppin and others!).

Trailing by double digits in the 4th quarter of Game 3, there was still a chance the Knicks could comeback like they had in Game 2. The play above for just a moment seemed like just the spark New York needed. While it didn’t turn out that way, it was still one hell of an ally-oop.

Derrick Rose grabbed the rebound and only had to take one dribble. He heaved the ball down court at the basket and who else but Obi Toppin was there to dunk it. A toss that traveled about 3/4 of the hardwood, the throw, and the finish was as amazing of a play as any of the NY Knicks have had this century.
