NY Knicks – #6 – Alone Among The Clouds: January 21st, 2021 vs Golden State

The Knicks may have lost both games this season to the Warriors, but Toppin still provided a fantastic play in each matchup.

With New York up 9 points in the 4th quarter, Alec Burks was looking for something to unfold at the top of the floor. He moved the ball over to Immanuel Quickley, who drove in towards the free throw line. He had three Warriors with their eyes on him. They should’ve been looking at Toppin.

Obi saw a lane to the basket and went forward. Although the Warriors missed his cut, Quickley did not. IQ found Toppin, who seemed to take off from a launchpad. Eric Paschall was under the rim, but made the business decision of dodging the flying Toppin. Toppin may not have even know Paschall was near the basket, or he just didn’t care. He went for the dunk like he was alone on the court. Fearless.
