Welcome to NY Knicks Fireworks Part 2! In celebration of the 4th of July, a 3 part series of has been put together highlighting the best Knicks dunks from the 2020-2021 season. Dunks, like fireworks, are explosive, vibrant, and we share them on social media. Some of us may cram in dozens of them on our snap stories and annoy our friends and family, but there’s really no harm done.

Part 1 was the Knicks’ top 10 alley-oops of the year. In this part, we will be looking at New York’s lead pyrotechnician, Obi Toppin. Toppin delighted us with several dunks throughout his rookie campaign. 34 total dunks to be exact in his 62 games played. That’s 0.55 dunks per game, essentially meaning he dunked once every other game. His 34 total dunks were good for 84th in the league, only behind teammates RJ Barrett, Nerlens Noel, and Mitchell Robinson.

Many fans may have dubbed him “Obi-Wan Toppin,” but there is no doubt he’s a Skywalker. And so, let’s continue the Knicks’ seasoned 4th of July BBQ by counting down Toppin’s 10 best dunks.

But, before we dive in, let’s give a quick honorable mention to Toppin’s performance in the dunk contest. Naturally, Obi’s dunks were extremely impressive and can be arguably the best he’s had in his young career. Because it was a unique situation, those dunks will not be in the top 10, as we will instead appreciate those he was able to pull off in games. Regardless, feel free to enjoy watching those dunks here.

(P.S. Anfernee Simons didn’t really win)
