Should NY Knicks draft Brandon Boston Jr with pick #32 of the 2021 NBA Draft?
Brandon Boston Jr, otherwise known as BJ Boston had all the makings of a potential superstar coming out of high school.
For reasons beyond most people’s comprehension, Boston Jr fell flat on his face during his one season with Kentucky.
The 6’7 guard/forward was named USA Today’s High School Athlete of the Year in the state of California.
He ranked as the #4 overall player coming out of high school and the #1 shooting guard in his class.
Unfortunately, when it came to his play at college, his numbers and efficiencies were poor and his draft stock has tanked tremendously.
For a player who was meant to go in the top 5 of this year’s class, pick 32 might actually be a bit too high for BJ Boston.
That is, unless a team had strong ties to Kentucky and had a bit more of an inside scoop on the player.
The New York Knicks have entered the chat.
The Knicks are trying to become a funnel for Kentucky Wildcats with assistant coach Kenny Payne, Julius Randle, Immanuel Quickley, and Nerlens Noel all having spent time there.
Let’s see what kind of intel Kenny P and Co can get from Coach Cal on BJ and see if he would be worth snagging at pick #32.
