#10 – Nerlens’ Long Reaching Lob – February 28th, 2021 vs Detroit Pistons
An appropriate word to sum up Nerlens Noel‘s season with the Knicks was “up.”
Noel stepped up for the team for much of the season, having to start at center with Mitchell Robinson going down twice to injury.
Noel gets up in the air for a ton of blocked shots. He also gets up for plenty of ally-oops.
On this play against the Pistons, Noel set the screen for RJ Barrett. Barrett got double-teamed and rewarded a rolling Noel with the lob toss.
Noel had to reach pretty high one-handed to put the ball down. I believe they call it a “Statue of Liberty” dunk.
Pretty fitting for this series, I’d say.
