NY Knicks: Josh Christopher is a freak athlete

First off, let’s talk about one of Christopher’s greatest assets on the court, his athleticism.

He is a freak athlete. With speed, agility and ridiculous bounce Christopher has the full package.

Not to mention, Christopher also has an NBA-ready frame. He is 6-feet 5-inches tall and weighs in at 215 pounds to go along with his 6-foot 9-inch wingspan.

He also had a 37-inch vertical at the combine, placing top-25 among participants.

Throughout the season at Arizona State his size and strength allowed him to get into the paint and finish through contact around the rim.

At his pro day Christopher, “attacked the rim with a head of steam, showing impressive strength, fluidity and explosiveness in the open court and in one-on-one situations,” said ESPN draft analyst Jonathan Givony.

Christopher’s frame as well as his athletic ability helped him to be a consistent threat on the boards for the Sun Devils despite only being 6-foot 5-inches tall.

Last year the Knicks drafted another athletic specimen in Obi Toppin and R.J. Barrett has shown his ability to be a high-flyer in the past, but it can never hurt having another player with crazy athleticism in the rotation.

Christopher’s size and bounce would make him a presence defending on the wing and also a threat around the rim.

While some aspects of his game are still raw, at the very least he will be able to compete physically in the league.
