Would you want the NY Knicks to trade for Joe Harris this offseason?

If all else failed and the Knicks couldn’t find a star to bring to the team on the wing, I would personally love to have Joe Harris.

As mentioned earlier, the Nets have about $166 million worth of contracts going into next season and that’s without re-signing about 7 players who played meaningful minutes this year for them.

Thankfully, potential Knicks target Spencer Dinwiddie declined his player option and will become an unrestricted free agent in the offseason which will clear up about $12 million towards the cap but that’s not nearly enough to create actual flexibility.

Aside from the ‘Big 3’ of Harden, Durant, and Irving, the only player making an 8-figure annual salary is the aforementioned Joe Harris.

Here’s a trade I came up with:

The former 3-point contest winner averaged 14.1 points this past season and shot an incredible 47.5% from deep on nearly 7 attempts per game.

To add him onto a Knicks roster that had stretches of abysmal shooting, especially throughout the playoffs, would help tremendously.

Hopefully, with an increased role on the offense and better coaching, the Knicks can avoid the horrendous shooting woes that plagued Harris throughout the playoffs.

Regarding the trade, the Knicks would sign-and-trade Burks while also sending Kevin Knox and a future 2nd to the Nets.

Knox and that 2nd round pick are likely to be moved again for a veteran elsewhere I would imagine.

Next. Three players the Knicks can draft with the 19th pick. dark
