NBA Draft: NY Knicks and Moses Moody would be a great fit

The prolific-scoring Arkansas Razorback Moses Moody could see himself play a major role for the Knicks in just his rookie season.

Moody may have just turned 19-years-old, but he’s coming into the draft as one of the best scorers in the NBA Draft.

Moody checks a ton of boxes as a potential elite NBA scorer. He has fantastic size for his position – As a 6’6 SG/SF with a massive 7-foot massive, Moody’s physical traits don’t stop there. He has a nice level of strength for his age, and he’s an incredibly coordinated player.

Regarding his bag, it may even be a little underrated. He has some nice 2-3 dribble moves that he utilizes to create space for his jump shot. Moody can knock down contested mid-range and 3-point shots and really has a nice feel of finding his spots. He’s a better shot than his 3-point percentage (35.8%) would indicate. Moody shot 81.2% from the free throw line.

Being both more aggressive and decisive will be fundamental keys for Moody to improve his game when he gets to the league. You’d like to see him be more aggressive going to the rim and open up more playmaking in his game.

It’s easy to see Moody getting time on the wing for the Knicks. This team really didn’t have any proper depth at the 3 after Reggie Bullock, and Moody can bring his shooting as a secondary option with more room to grow down the line.

He could be a great balance of a prospect who immediately contributes in a limited role but has the potential to grow into something much bigger.
