Would you consider this trade for D’Angelo Russell to the NY Knicks?

Oh goodness gracious, where do I even begin…

So basically, you want the Knicks to give up Obi Toppin, Mitchell Robinson, both of their first rounders this year and their 2023 first for D’Angelo Russell?

Whatever you’re on, I’ll take 5 of’em.

DLo is good, I like the guy. I’ve wanted him to be traded to the Knicks before.

But this is the same DLo that was traded for Wiggins and a 1st rounder just a season ago.

Russell is just awful on defense and that’s just not something Thibs is going to tolerate on his teams, especially out of his point guard.

Also, I just love how you mention that the only way this deal happens is if Minny keeps their 1st this year and gets a chance at drafting Cade Cunningham…

As if those are the only determining factors (lol).

You mean to say you’d only give DLo up for that treasure trove of picks and young players if the T-Wolves could draft Cade?

C’mon.

This entire trade is maybe one of the most one sided deals I’ve ever seen in my life.

While yes, the Knicks should look to get Julius Randle another high-level scorer to play next to, is D’Angelo Russell really the best they can do?
