NY Knicks: What was the team’s record in each 2021 jersey?
NY Knicks: The Association Jersey
Perhaps the most iconic of all the Knicks uniforms, the white and orange jersey has been around as long as the Knicks themselves have.
Used as the primary jersey color from 1946, in the NBA’s inaugural season, up until the 80s as aforementioned, this season’s Association colorway, like the Icon colorway, has been and always will be a staple for the Knicks and has seen its fair share of success over the years.
This season was no different as the Knicks played their best basketball in the Association jerseys.
They also played the most basketball in these uniforms wearing them in 33 out of 72 games this season.
The Knicks won an impressive 22 of those 33 games (67%) in all white.
They picked up their first win of the season in the Association jerseys, beating the Bucks by 20 points.
Julius Randle had one of the best games of his career in this jersey against the Hawks, dropping 44 points, 9 boards and 5 assists on over 60% shooting back in February.
Randle also dropped 40 in an overtime win against the Hawks in April wearing the Association jersey.
In the regular season, the Association uniforms provided great fortune, however, the postseason was another story.
The Knicks wore the white and orange in the 2-point loss to the Hawks in game 1, as well as in Game 4 where they suffered the worst loss of the series.
Despite the playoff struggles, the Association jersey came with great success and one can only assume that is why it was worn so frequently.
