The NY Knicks will have some tough decisions to make on their upcoming unrestricted free agents, one of whom is the sharp-shooting Alec Burks.
New York has been linked to a few different free agent guards from other teams heading into free agency, and the team makes any moves, they will first have to make some decisions on their own free agents.
NY Knicks: Alec Burks’ future with the team is unclear
Among the Knicks’ unrestricted free agents are Alec Burks, Derrick Rose, Reggie Bullock, and Nerlens Noel.
All four players played their important roles for New York this past season. Retaining all of them seems unlikely.
Re-signing Derrick Rose will likely be near the top of the team’s offseason priorities, and it’s unclear whether the team will want to allocate multi-year money to both Rose and Burks.
The team may believe they can replace some of Burks’ scoring with other players, but it’s not going to be simple to replace.
There will be plenty of other squads looking to add Burks’ microwave scoring to their roster.
