Should the NY Knicks trade Kevin Knox for a couple of 2nd round picks?

I cringe while writing this because yet again, not only do the Knicks not re-sign a former 1st round lottery pick, but he’s traded before his rookie contract is up.

Except for this time, I’m kinda all for it. Wouldn’t be the first time we’ve traded Kevin Knox here at DK and it probably won’t be the last.

My thought process for these trades will have one goal in mind and that’s to get Kevin Knox onto a team where he has a solid chance of getting actual playing time so he can flourish.

Once a Knick, Always a Knick.

I mean this when I say it…I hope he crushes it elsewhere and makes the Knicks regret letting him go and we have to pay him a big, fat contract to come back and be a part of a championship run in the future.

Wishful thinking, I know.

OKC could use some depth and size on the wing, and desperately needs a guy who can knock down a 3-ball as they finished 2nd to dead last in 3-point shooting percentage as a team this season, only ahead of the Cavs.

The Knicks get some 2nd round pick a million years from now that surely they’ll never actually use and will instead get utilized in a trade at some point along with another high 2nd round pick in one of the better draft classes we’ve seen in some time.

The Knicks have already got the 32nd pick in 2021 and now they’ll have either the 34th or 35th pick as well.

how much talent there is in this draft, they could either package all 3 of their second-round picks to try to move up into the bottom portion of the 1st round.

Or they could actually use these picks if they’ve already traded their 1st rounders in a massive blockbuster trade to acquire a star (fingers crossed).

There are always talented guys who fall out of the first round and if there’s been a draft that you want to catch some falling stars in, it’s this one.

Names like Charles Bassey, BJ Boston, Joel Ayayi, and many others could drop and come to NY as steals.
