Best players in the New York Knicks vs Atlanta Hawks series: #9 Danilo Gallinari

The veteran started his career with the New York Knicks and how it will come full circle.

Gallinari brings experience, shooting, and smart basketball to the table. He’s averaging 13.3 points on the season, which is a tad under for his career. But he’s perhaps who the Hawks will count on to make plays against the stifling Knicks defense. Gallinari plays over 20 minutes a game and has just five turnovers over the last twelve contests.

He can also heat up in a hurry. This month against Portland, Gallinari scored 28 points on seven made threes, his season-high. He won’t be counted on to drop 20 every night, but it should be expected at least once, so Tom Thibodeau must include him on his game plan.
