NY Knicks: Jalen Suggs would be the team’s point guard of the future

This is the trade I would probably want the most of all possible big-time trades the Knicks can make.

If the Knicks trade for Jalen Suggs, this would be amazing for multiple reasons.  First off is the fact that the Knicks point guard issue is solved. Suggs, a top-three prospect and played outstanding basketball in March Madness after a great freshman year at Gonzaga.

Suggs is also a similar player to a young Derrick Rose, who Tom Thibodeau also coached. Bringing in Suggs also means the Knicks can keep Derrick Rose as a 6th man as he mentors the young gun.

Though Rose did once say he had no interest in the mentor role in New York, times have changed, and he has been a significant influence on this current Knicks team, with the record to prove it as my DailyKnicks teammate Adam Kester mentioned last week.

Suggs gives the Knicks a playmaker who can grow with fellow young top prospects RJ Barrett, Immanuel Quickley, and Obi Toppin unless Quickley or Toppin is involved in a trade for Suggs.

With Julius Randle still only 26, and adding a super young core that can succeed at the same time out on the court would be an excellent place for the Knicks to be in, while also having the cap space to be a top free agency destination.
