With the NY Knicks being the 6 seed in the east and owning the Dallas Mavericks first pick, the Knicks are probably not going to be in the draft lottery due to team success for the first time since 2013. The Knicks have a plethora of Draft Picks that NY can use to trade up for in the Draft.

The Knicks currently have exciting young players in RJ Barrett, Immanuel Quickley, Mitchell Robinson, and Obi Toppin. This is a solid young core, but they can also improve it massively if they trade up in this stacked 2021 NBA Draft.

If the Knicks use some of their draft capital and young players such as Frank Ntilikina and Kevin Knox, it is possible they can trade up to a higher position and add serious help to their young core.

The 2021 NBA Draft is headlined by prospective superstar Cade Cunningham, who is at a level where whatever team lucks into the first overall pick will instantly make the pick untouchable in trades.  There are many other prospects New York can make a play at, though, so let’s take a look at some top names the NY Knicks can trade for.
