Knicks vs. Lakers will have big implications for the playoffs
The Lakers have been on a downward spiral as of late. They were once the top seed in the West but injuries to LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Dennis Schroder have shot them down the standings. LeBron James is expected to return to the Lakers lineup this week but as this is being written it’s unclear whether he’ll play or not.
Both of these will be looking for some breathing room in the playoff standings. You have one team that has shattered their regular season expectations and another team that knows they haven’t performed to their expected level of play – even with their injuries.
Even with the turmoil surrounding LA, Tom Thibodeau’s team will have to continue to bring their A-game like they did on Sunday.
