#2: NY Knicks @ Mavericks – 117-109 – April 16th

We all know the reasons for why beating the Dallas Mavericks is so fun for New York Knicks fans. This game, however, was so satisfying for reasons beyond those alluded to.

This 5th win was probably the best high for all Knicks fans during this winning streak. Not just because our all-star forward had 44/10/7 and outplayed Dallas’s lame “All-Star” forward. Not just because New York shot 51.2% for the game and 50% from three while holding the Mavs to 44% and 33%.

It was so satisfying because it was revenge. Revenge is a dish best served cold, and it has been served cold a couple of times now to Dallas and will likely continue to be in the future by NY.

The best part of why this game was a successful revenge bid was because the Knicks found a way to extend their winning streak and beat a team that had embarrassed them during their skid just before their winning run began.

This game and this streak represented revenge for all those years of deserved mockery and despair that the organization and its fans have endured for decades. For the first time in a long time, the New York Knicks are having the last laugh and basking in its glory.
