#4: NY Knicks vs New Orleans Pelicans – 122-112 in OT – April 18th

The Pelicans didn’t go away as easily in the second matchup between these two teams this season. It was once again a close contest in which Julius Randle (33/10/5) and Zion Williamson (34/9/5) lead the charge for their respective groups.

The Knicks lead by 13 at halftime, but the Pelicans quickly erased the deficit in the third quarter. Both teams scored 24 points in the fourth to force overtime.

With the game on the line, New York’s dynamic bench backcourt of Derrick Rose and Immanuel Quickley slammed the door on New Orleans.

“Vintage Rose” dominated the fourth quarter, scoring 8 points and earning 2 assists. The second of the two was a pass off a drive to the basket that found Reggie Bullock in the corner for the game-tying triple. Rose then scored another 4 points in OT.

Quickley’s contributions came in the form of dishing and swishing, too. Despite being 1-5 for the game, he finished with 8 points, 3 assists, and 4 rebounds. He had his lone three-pointer and 2 assists in the fourth, followed by 5 clutch free throws on 6 attempts in OT.

Player of the game: Derrick Rose – 23 points, 5 assists, 9-17 FG
