The title says it all…ESPN, but more specifically Stephen A. Smith, believes that Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant will regret choosing Brooklyn over the NY Knicks.

Well, yeah…duh!

I was born and raised in Brooklyn and the only people I personally know that are Nets fans are the ones who aren’t all that into basketball, to begin with.

It’s like…the cool thing to do nowadays to be a Nets fan, because why not?

Three of the top-15 best players on the planet all joining forces on the same team.

It’s easy to be a Nets fan today. What’s difficult is riding with a team known for long-term mediocrity and basking in all the glory when they finally figure things out.

To be fair, I can’t really blame them for not coming here before. The Knicks have been a mess for as long as I can remember.

But what Durant and Irving didn’t take into account was that when the Knicks are good, not only is it good for basketball as a whole but the entire city rallies behind the team on a very different level than maybe any other fanbase in the world of sports.

Would you want Kevin Durant or Kyrie Irving on the NY Knicks today?

Let me start by saying that we good on this side, fam. Don’t change your minds.

We don’t want nor need Kevin Durant or Kyrie Irving. The Knicks are establishing a culture built on hard work and accountability. Those boys can kick rocks.

Sure, there are plenty of stars I’d like them to trade for, most notably Bradley Beal.

But even if that doesn’t happen, which I doubt it does, who cares?

This team was projected to be at the bottom of the barrel.

We as fans were anticipating another season of watching crappy basketball and hanging onto small slivers of fun, exciting moments surrounded by a bunch of moments where we’d be left hanging our heads in despair.

That’s clearly not the case.

The Knicks have gotten this far because they’re a determined bunch led by one of the brightest basketball minds to ever exist, and the best part is that they all want to be here.

You don’t call yourselves “The Big 15” for nothing.

If you’re interested in seeing the clip from YouTube, you can find that here.

What’s funny is that even Nets fans know that when the Knicks win their next title, the city of New York will experience a pandemonium like it’s never seen before.

Anything short of a title for the Nets is a failure. The fans are all fairweather fans and will jump ship in a few years.

Come to the NYK bandwagon! We’re accepting applications now.
