Remember when it was once essentially a foregone conclusion that the NY Knicks were trading Julius Randle to the highest bidder?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA….joke.

Forget all the rumors that swirled around back then…the team drafted his replacement in Obi Toppin during the 2020 NBA Draft and now it looks like Toppin will be the one that’s dealt sooner or later.

If that’s not enough proof that they were looking to move on from Randle, I don’t know what is.

In retrospect, that trade would go down as the single worst trade in franchise history if Julius were to go on to become what he is today with another team.

Based on his trade value from before the current season started, there’s not one rumor from back then that would make even a stitch of sense for the Knicks today.

Should the NY Knicks have done any of these Julius Randle trades?

Julius Randle is not only the best player on the team, he’s become the leader of “The Big-15” as well as the glue that holds them together.

There’s a good chance that he’ll be this season’s Most Improved Player, an award that’s normally reserved for players far younger than him.

He’s become an All-Star, he’ll surely make an All-NBA team this year and is leading a Knicks squad that was projected for just 24 wins by ESPN to the playoffs.

Needless to say, we’d all be kicking ourselves if Julius Randle decided to become what he is today not wearing an orange and blue jersey.

Here we’ll be reacting to some old Julius Randle trade rumors and ideas that would have been dumb moves had they ever happened.
