Should the NY Knicks bring back JR Smith?

You tryna get the pipe?

What a fun ex-Knick…he’ll go down as one of the more interesting players in New York Knicks’ history.

JR is a 2-time NBA Champion with Cleveland and last season with the Lakers, and also won 6th Man of the Year honors as a Knick back in the 2012-13 season.

That year he averaged about 18 points, 3 dimes, and 5 boards while shooting nearly 36% from deep.

The definition of a streaky scorer, Jr Smith was the type of player that could light up a defense for 35 one night and score you 6 the following.

I’ve always said that if JR had the right mindset, he is as close to Kobe Bryant as anyone in the league ever.

Everything from his size, athleticism, scoring ability, and so on…

Obviously, he’s got something left in the tank if the Lakers who were contending for a title last year decided to bring him in due to some unfortunate injuries on their bench unit late in the season.

I think he could play a big role in helping Immanuel Quickley in becoming the best version of himself and really hone in on being a future 6th Man of the Year contender.
