START SPREADING THE NEWS!!!!!! The NY Knicks are on an 8-game winning streak and the city of New York is on fire.

It’s crazy to me how Brooklyn has 2 of the top-5 players in all of basketball and another guy who could be considered the 10th best depending on who you ask, amongst all of the other talents they have on that roster…and yet literally NOBODY cares about them and everyone is focused in on the Knicks.

Funny how the world works sometimes.

I’m using the first half of this introductory page to gloat about my favorite team, no shame whatsoever.

As this is being written, the Knicks are sitting pretty in the 4th seed of the Eastern Conference standings after just molly-whopping the Atlanta Hawks last night.

I don’t wanna hear about how the schedule has been easier, how this win streak is padded, or how everyone on the other teams was injured.

Earmuffs are on. Do not care. Not listening.

The Knicks were without Alec Burks and Mitchell Robinson. They lost Nerlens Noel, Taj Gibson, and Derrick Rose for stretches of time.

This team plays hard, they fight through adversity, and they figure out ways to win ballgames.
I’m sorry for gushing over my squad…this feeling is long overdue.

But anyway…back to our regularly scheduled programming.

We’re dealing with a playoff team here and now. It’s crazy to say it but it’s true.
There are 12 games left to play on the season and unless the Knicks absolutely imploded within themselves, a postseason appearance is damn near guaranteed.

Should the NY Knicks bring back any of these former players?

That being said, there are roster spots available to be filled and I would have to imagine that they’ll be taken up before playoff time.

The question is…with whom?

Norvel Pelle was recently re-signed to a multi-year extension. so the 3rd center on the roster is taken.

Rounding out the 3rd unit is just Frank Ntilikina, Kevin Knox, and fan-favorite Theo Pinson.

I thought it would be fun to explore the idea of bringing back some former Knicks players to fill in the final roster spot available for both competitive and nostalgic purposes.

Here are 5 former Knicks that I think would be fun roster additions for this year’s playoff race.
