By the time you’re reading this, the NY Knicks may have just won their 8th straight game against the Atlanta Hawks. If that is the case, then #LGK.

If that isn’t the case, well, #LGK still!

The Knicks as many of you likely are aware have won their 7th straight game on Tuesday night in a 109-97 victory at The Garden and the fanbase is losing their collective minds.

Charlotte has been without LaMelo Ball and Gordan Hayward, undoubtedly two of their best players. However, the Hornets played incredibly well in the first half. Both teams were bombing away from three and cashing in big time.

Charlotte hit 13 threes on 19 shots (68%), compared to the Knicks 11-23 shooting from deep.

The NY Knicks pulled out an impressive win against Charlotte

PJ Washington had 21 points in the first half, hitting 5 three-pointers. He just couldn’t miss from 25 feet out. Terry Rozier also poured in 18 points.

New York wasn’t getting much scoring from RJ Barrett and Julius Randle, but thankfully Reggie Bullock and Immanuel Quickley kept them in the game. The Knicks gave up a very uncharacteristic 66 points and trailed by 6 after two quarters.

Clearly, the Knicks went on to win despite a poor defensive 24-minute showing. They even won by a comfortable margin.

This is why I believe this win by the Knicks is the best win yet of the 7 games the team has won in a row.

The substance of the Knicks’ second half is impressive in many ways. The ways in which they were able to come out with the win are telling of why this team finds itself in the playoff picture and this their second-half performance should serve as an example of how the Knicks can plan to stay competitive in the heat of the playoffs when they arrive.

Let’s talk specifics on why I believe the second half of this game proves this to be the best game of this winning streak.
