Should the NY Knicks target Jamal Crawford?

Jamal Crawford AKA J-Crossover is known for having some of the best handles of all time.

It would be a lot of fun to bring back the former Knick to play out what’s likely to be his final season in orange and blue.

I feel like he was a 6th man of the year candidate more times than he wasn’t, and that’s over a 20-year career…that’s saying something.

Even though he’s approaching 41 years old, he’d still be a solid pick-up for the Knicks who can use as many veteran presences on the team as they can possibly grab.

Brooklyn saw something in Crawford just last season and brought him onto their roster, so clearly, he’s got SOMETHING left in the tank.

He was once a guy who could put up 40 on any given night…now he’s a shell of his former self but like the rest we’ve discussed, he’d be coming in as more of a leader and coach on the bench for the young pups.

You could argue that young Immanuel Quickley’s ceiling is that of J-Crossover, so with Crawford taking IQ under his wing for a bit, it could do nothing but help the young star.

A career 35% shooter from deep, I’m sure JC can come in and get a few buckets if he’s ever called upon.

But for now, he’d just be a warm body to help the Knicks fill out their roster.

I just like the idea of bringing someone who I watched play in person as a child back in 2021.

Would love to see him rocking #11 again.
