The NY Knicks should add perimeter shooters in free agency over the offseason. The team has become one of the NBA’s best defending teams, but still is lacking behind when it comes to perimeter shooting.

There’s no doubting the Knicks have improved in every way this season. The team has become a top defensive team under Coach Tom Thibodeau, already having more wins than last year.  Shooting is still somewhat of an issue though.

The Knicks shoot 38% from deep collectively as a team, the 6th best percentage in the league, but are 28th in attempts. Alec Burks, Julius Randle, Reggie Bullock, and RJ Barrett are the highest percentage shooters out of rotational players.

With both Burks and Bullock hitting free agency this year, the Knicks will certainly need to add more perimeter shooters, whether or not they re-sign their sharpshooting wings.

Free agency this summer will have some very good shooters available, and here are some of the names the NY Knicks should target.
