NY Knicks: Norvel Pelle vs John Henson – Who stays and who goes?
Should NY Knicks stick with Norvel Pelle over John Henson?
Norvel Pelle has been at this basketball thing for quite a while now.
He came into the league as an undrafted free agent in 2014 and has bounced around the league, and the world ever since.
He’s had multiple stints in the NBA’s G-League, playing overseas, and more recently a few stops with a few different NBA teams.
Can he finally call New York his home? Let’s see.
Pelle was signed back on April 2nd on a 10-day contract and actually got to see some action during garbage time in a huge, 125-81 win over the Pistons on the 3rd.
I’d imagine Knicks fans are already leaning heavily toward letting Pelle stay on the rest of the year after what he did in that game.
I was watching the game and couldn’t believe what I saw…he entered the game and within minutes he dislocated a finger…
I remember sitting there in awe, thinking how badly I felt for the guy.
He was only signed to a 10-day contract and now he’s hurt bad…this isn’t gonna end well for him.
Sure enough, the team’s medical staff fixed the injury with some tape and this guy goes and shoots his free throws.
Then he proceeds to block 2 consecutive shot attempts at the rim as seen here.
It’s gonna be an uphill climb for John Henson after that showing by Pelle. The real question is will his play remain consistent?
My co-editor Adam Kester seems to think so, and has recently advocated for the big man.
Let’s take a look at John Henson.
