The New York Knicks have exceeded expectations this season and currently find themselves 6th in The Eastern Conference. Fans have enjoyed the first positive season in years, and with the success, Knicks fans don’t have to deal with photoshopped jerseys and “Tank talk”. That doesn’t mean we can’t take some early looks at draft prospects The Knicks may be interested in come July

It’s been well documented how deep this 2021 draft class is, and The Knicks will have 4 picks:

  • 1st Round Pick (Own)
  • 1st Round Pick (From Dallas)
  • 2nd Round Pick (From Detroit)
  • 2nd Round Pick (From Philadelphia)

It’s exciting to head into the draft with a lot of capital. There’s a wide range of prospects — Some are more developmental and some are ready to immediately step into a polished NBA role. The #1 seed Gonzaga Bulldogs have played their way into the final four, and their deep roster features 4 potential NBA players.

Knicks Draft: Gonzaga is loaded with prospects

We don’t yet know where the Knicks will be selecting. The safest assumption to make at this point is that both The Knicks and Mavericks will be low-seeded playoff teams, so neither of the picks will be in the lottery. That doesn’t mean the Knicks can’t nab multiple quality players.

The Knicks have a few different roster needs if they want to continue to grow. Point guard, wing, and frontcourt depth are the most pressing. Let’s take a look at some of the Zags who could be a part of the Knicks’ future.
