NY Knicks NBA Draft: One player from each Final 4 team to consider drafting
2021 NBA Draft NY Knicks Final 4 Target #3 – Johnny Juzang
The craziest part about the UCLA Bruins being in the Final 4 is that prior to the tournament, no players of note were in consideration for this year’s draft.
Johnny Juzang has entered the chat…
Kenny “The Jet” Smith recently told TMZ that he believes UCLA’s Juzang should be considered for a first-round selection in either this year’s or next year’s draft.
Juzang has been on an absolute tear, scoring 20+ in 3 of UCLA’s 5 tourney games so far.
Standing at around 6’6, he’s a bit of a ‘tweener’ similar to RJ Barrett in that he can play either the 2 or the 3 at the next level.
Originally playing for Kentucky, Juzang decided to transfer to UCLA to get more playing time, and boy, what a great decision that was for him.
He went off this year for 15.5 points and 4 rebounds per game while shooting 35% from 3.
I think his shooting numbers from deep can improve whether it be in college next year or in the NBA because he shot over 90% from the charity stripe, and as we all know, usually when those numbers are good, it translates well to 3-point shooting percentages.
I could see the Knicks either using their early 2md rounder on Juzang or potentially trading both 2nd round picks to move up into the late 1st round to snag him depending on where he ends up projecting.
I think it would be wise for Juzang to strongly consider capitalizing and cashing in on his recent success and putting his name in the hat for the 2021 NBA Draft.
