2021 NBA Draft NY Knicks Final 4 Target #1 – Jalen Suggs

Jalen Suggs of Gonzaga would be an absolute pipe dream at this point.

He likely won’t be making it past the top 3 or 4 picks so if the Knicks are in love with this kid, they’re gonna have to pay up to put themselves in a position to bring the do-it-all point guard to The Garden.

Suggs is the best of a bunch of very intriguing prospects who are eligible to be drafted out of Gonzaga this year.

Suggs is a bigger point guard standing at 6’4 205 pounds, and his 14 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 4.5 assists led the Bulldogs to a perfect 30-0 record.

If the Knicks were absolutely sold on him being their point guard of the future, they’d likely have to move both 1st round picks and a young player like Kevin Knox and then some to move up into a position where they could take Suggs.

He reminds me of a Jason Kidd & Russell Westbrook hybrid a bit but I think he’ll be able to shoot the 3-ball more effectively than the two of them were able to early on in their careers.

Big, strong, maybe not as athletic as Russ is but definitely has some bounce.

He’s a tremendous passer, has incredible offensive awareness, and rebounds at a very high level.

Pairing him with RJ Barret might create one of the strongest backcourt tandems in the NBA today, along with one of the best rebounding backcourts as well.

If the Knicks had to send both firsts, Knox and Frank, and maybe even Detroits 2nd round pick this year to grab him, it would be worth it.
