NY Knicks likely Trade Target #4 – Andre Drummond

It’s been rumored that the Knicks are currently the frontrunners for a trade with the Cavs for Andre Drummond…and I say, keep running!

Unless your center has the skillset that of an Embiid, Jokic, or Towns…you just don’t need an offensive-minded center in 2021.

I love Mitchell Robinson and would love to see him be a New York Knick for the rest of his career.

Bringing in Drummond and then extending him would only harm Mitch’s development and overall happiness within the organization.

I also hate the fit of Drummond next to Julius Randle altogether.

Look, if Drummond is bought out and decides to come to the Knicks as a rental, then sure…bring him on. I’m not going to be happy if they give up literally anything for him in a trade.

If it was 2005 then sure, give me Andre Drummond on the Knicks all day but he’s just not the type of center you have on a team that wins a championship unless you have mega-stars like LeBron or Durant surrounding him.

If I could have written the words “HARD PASS” a million times instead of writing the paragraph you’re currently reading on this slide, I would.
