NY Knicks: 5 players most likely to be traded to Knicks at deadline
March 25th is fast approaching and the rumblings throughout the media suggest that the NY Knicks could either be aggressive or passive at the deadline…so which one is it?
Really, whatever the Knicks do on Thursday can speak volumes as to how the front office views the roster they have today.
If they make a relatively big splash, it means they have a lot of faith in the team making some noise in the playoffs.
If they stand pat and don’t do anything, it could mean that either the right trade didn’t present itself OR that they still view the team as one that’s in the midst of a rebuild in its infancy.
Regardless of what direction they go in, all I know is that I’ve watched Julius Randle turn into an All-Star and RJ Barrett has grown into a key cog for the Knicks’ future right before my own eyes and as a fan, I feel confident in a team built around the two of them.
Who do you think the NY Knicks should trade for at the deadline?
When it comes to the idea of mid-season trades, the organization must believe that with whatever trade they execute, that the player they add is someone that can help contribute right away and also has room for growth for the foreseeable future of the team.
This is why I believe that if there any swaps that take place, they’ll be minor moves that don’t make too many waves.
The Knicks have a defense that can win them a championship today but their offense is lagging far behind and would take at least 1 or even 2 game-changers to put them in serious title contention.
We as fans should be happy that the team is so far ahead of schedule toward the rebuild that was supposed to only just begin this season.
Nevertheless, here’s 5 players I believe are most likely to be traded to the Knicks.
