The NY Knicks will potentially be getting some reinforcements soon with Derrick Rose potentially returning to action. The veteran guard hasn’t played in just over two weeks due to the NBA’s health and safety protocols, but it appears that his return to game action could be happening soon.

When he was originally traded to the NY Knicks on February 8th, many were skeptical due to his disappointing first stint in New York. Rose regressed as a shooter and never really meshed with his teammates back in 2016. Things have played out well for Rose so far in New York.
What Derrick Rose’s return to action means for the NY Knicks
Rose has been a huge component of the 2021 group’s relative success as he helps provide an offensive spark each time he steps on the court. The team has a record of 7-3 when he’s played, but has had a record of just 3-4 since his last appearance on February 28th.
He’s operated as both a starter and a 6th man, often closing out games whenever they have come down to the wire.
Rose has done his part in improving some of the team’s overall statistics, but he’s also helped a few of his teammates step up their play as well. There’s a good chance he’ll continue to do that when he comes back.
