NY Knicks Reggie Bullock Trade #1 – Matisse Thybulle

Matisse Thybulle is the quintessential young player that could be molded into a contributing factor to a playoff team by Coach Thibodeau and Co.

This is a player who prides himself on defense and still has 2 years on his contract after this season for the Knicks’ development staff to work with him.

I think Bullock and Thybulle are of an equal talent level on the defensive side of the ball, but Bullock offers much more offense, most notably shooting from 3.

The 76ers are on a warpath towards the Eastern Conference Finals, and of course, their sights are set on the NBA Finals as well.

Thybulle doesn’t offer them what they would need some playoff time, so maybe an outright swap with the Knicks could happen.

I’ve actually written a piece about trading for Thybulle before and it’s just one of those ideas that I want to write about over and over until it happens.

Realistically, the Knicks could move Bullock to Philly as a rental, acquire a young piece in return for him, let him go potentially win a title with Philadelphia, and bring him back next year if they choose to do so.

Ala Aroldis Chapman to the Chicago Cubs a few years ago.

I hate the idea of trading with an Atlantic division rival, especially if it helps them win a championship, but sometimes you do what you gotta do.
