With the NBA trade deadline just about a week away, it’s very possible that the NY Knicks make a trade to increase their odds of making the playoffs.

The Knicks are currently in the 8th seed but they are holding on to their playoff positioning by a thread.

As this is being written, they have lost two games in a row and could easily fall down the standings if they don’t start getting some wins.

The Chicago Bulls, who’ve won 8 of their last 13 games, are right behind the Knicks and would love to take their spot in the playoffs.

The Toronto Raptors and the Indiana Pacers could easily bypass them as well if they start putting together some wins.

What bench scorers do you think the NY Knicks could target via trade?

The Knicks could desperately use another scorer and shot creator. Julius Randle and RJ Barrett are a strong 1-2 punch but the team has struggled as of late to find some consistent scoring outside of those two.

Immanuel Quickley has been an absolute steal for the Knicks but his play on the court has been sporadic.

Defenders are learning to key in on his patented floater by coming up higher on pick and rolls which has limited his effectiveness.

Derrick Rose and Elfrid Payton were bringing the Knicks some offensive punch but they’ve missed the last few games.

Furthermore, they are in need of much more outside shooting.

The Knicks rank 12th in 3 point percentage, shooting it at 37%, but they also rank 29th in 3 point attempts a game.

They simply don’t get enough 3 point shots off which has led to a team offense that has underwhelmed all year.

Here are 3 different trades to help the Knicks address both areas.
