The month is March, meaning the NY Knicks are getting closer and closer to the trade deadline. Soon we will find out which teams are buyers and which teams are sellers as we watch the chaos unfold throughout the NBA.

In regard to the Knicks, it would be my guess that for the first time in many seasons, they will looking to gain assets rather than ship them off. Going into the all-star break, New York currently stands at 19-18, good enough for the five-seed in the eastern conference. We must now ask ourselves the question of what can the Knicks do to improve and give them the best shot at maintaining their current positioning. The answer is shooting.

The Knicks have so many players that are beasts inside the paint and are able to draw contact on cuts to the basket. With that being said, they can be even more effective if the extra dimension of pure shooting is added to the offense. The main ‘”shooters” of the team right now are Alec Burks, Reggie Bullock, and Immanuel Quickley.

We all know about Quickley, however, Bullock and Burks are too streaky to be able to rely on them come playoff time. Luckily for New York, there are many sellers with great shooters currently positioned on their roster. Here are three potential trades the NY Knicks can make that will not only ultimately improve their shooting and offense but put them in a prime position for a solid playoff spot as well.
