Knicks vs. Kings

The Kings, like the Knicks, are a team struggling to grasp an identity and maintain consistency. Sacramento has a solid team that is 10 deep. The Kings don’t match up well against Julius Randle, so to slow him down they will have to allow other Knicks easy scoring opportunities. Moving the ball will be especially important with Julius Randle being doubled early.

Reggie Bullock and RJ Barrett will thrive if they are hitting their threes and Julius Randle passes early in his possessions. Tyrese Halliburton was very impressive in the first Kings game, and he has only gotten better. Fortunately for New York, the Sacramento backcourt does most of their scoring, along with Harrison Barnes. This plays into the hands of New York’s D.

Harrison Barnes is dealing with a foot injury and is questionable. The Knicks will have their hands full with De’Aaron Fox, who continues to post big numbers. On the season, Fox is averaging 22.3 points and 7.1 assists per game.

These are two evenly matched teams. Unless the Knicks bring their A-game, Sacramento could easily reverse the outcome of their previous game with the Knicks.
